Strawberry, Mozzarella & Basil Summer Salad

Ingredients:

For the Strawberry Basil Dressing:

For the Salad:

  • 4 cups mixed greens (e.g., spinach, arugula, or baby kale)
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1/2 cup Fresh Mozzarella Balls (can substitute ¼ cup crumbled feta cheese or goat cheese)
  • 1/4 cup toasted almonds, walnuts or pistachios (optional)
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, torn or chopped
  • 1/4 red onion, thinly sliced (optional)

Instructions:

Prepare the Strawberry Balsamic Dressing:

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together The Milled Olive Strawberry Dark Balsamic, The Milled Olive Basil Infused Olive Oil, honey or maple syrup, and The Milled Olive Stoneground Mustard.
  2. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Adjust sweetness or acidity as needed.

Assemble the Salad:

  1. In a large bowl, combine the mixed greens, sliced strawberries, mozzarella cheese, nuts (if using).
  2. Gently toss in the fresh basil leaves and red onion if desired.
  3. Drizzle with the strawberry basil dressing and toss gently to coat.

Serve:

  • Serve immediately for the freshest taste and best texture.
