Directions
Ingredients needed:
- Hell's Canyon Kick'n Chicken Soup Mix (with broth and seasoning packet)
- 1 Fresh Chicken Breast or 6 oz. Can Chicken
In 4 quart saucepan brown meat. Then add 7 cups water and both packets. Cover and bring to a boil. Stir in tortellini mix. Replace lid and simmer for 30 minutes or until the tortellini are done and the potatoes are soft. Salt and pepper to taste. Serve
Instapot Instructions
Reduce water by 1 cup. Add water, soup mix and meat to Instant Pot. Lock the lid and seal the valve, set to Soup Mode, or High Pressure. Cook for 10 minutes, allow the pressure to release naturally. Enjoy!
Recipe Variations
10-15 minutes before the soup is done, add 1 or 2 cups of fresh vegetables. We like summer squash, carrots of even tomatoes. Reduce water by 1 cup, cook as normal, right before serving add 1 cup of half and half. Top with sour cream & chives. Prepare without meat, discard the yellow chicken base packet. Use 15 oz. vegetable broth and reduce water by 2 cups. If desired, add meat substitute.
Crock Pot Instructions
Add 7 C. water, the entire soup mix & meat to the slow cooker. Cook on low for 2.5 to 5 hours. The longer you leave the soup cooking the more the noodles will expand. Enjoy!
